Two broke dudes.
One tiny kitchen.
Swollenbacks Cooking is Mike & Noah proving that big flavor doesn't need a big budget. We cook loud, cheap, protein-heavy food and film every glorious mistake along the way.
It started with $11 and a dare.
Picture a college apartment, one working burner, an air fryer with trust issues, and a bank account that said "no." Mike wanted to eat like he lifts. Noah wanted to eat, period. Takeout was out of the question, so they started cooking — badly at first, then weirdly well.
Friends started asking for the recipes. Then friends of friends. So they grabbed a phone, propped it against a cereal box and hit record. The first videos were chaotic. They're still chaotic. But now there are a lot more of you watching.
The mission hasn't changed: show that anyone with a few dollars, a pan and a little nerve can make food that tastes like it cost ten times more.
Meet the Swollenbacks.

- VibeSarcastic, deadpan, accidentally a genius. Measures nothing. Wins anyway.
- Favorite cheap ingredientWhatever's been in the cabinet since spring. Mystery seasoning #4.
- Worst kitchen disasterMicrowaved a fork. The light show was almost worth it.
- Catchphrase"I dunno, just put it in there."
What we stand for.
Protein > Price
Every recipe is judged by how much it fuels you per dollar. If it's not filling, it's not on the show.
Flavor is non-negotiable
Cheap doesn't mean sad. Hot sauce, garlic and a little confidence fix almost everything.
Mistakes stay in
We show the smoke alarms, the burnt pans and the "wait, that worked?" moments. Real kitchens are messy.
